Why Coaching for Women?
A Special Message from Marie on the Importance of Coaching Women
I'm Marie Wetmore, a coach for women. I want to personally explain why I am so passionate about coaching women – and explain why the work I do is so important…
A Coach for women understands the pressures you face. Women are the ultimate multitaskers: hard-working professionals, wives, mothers, community leaders, athletes, and so much more. And even though men are taking on more household responsibilities than ever before, women still do most of the housework and child-rearing. On top of that, we're supposed to have perfect houses, perfect clothing, and the perfect bodies. It can leave your mind reeling!
When I coach women, I help them stand up to the pressures in life, so they can create a life that aligns with their priorities and supports their well-being. It's done with balance so you do the right things at the right time, without being overwhelmed by unrealistic expectations.
A Coach for women knows your personal goals are important. Women often put their own needs last, putting off their own goals and dreams for years or decades. I coach women to honor themselves, helping them recognize how important their goals truly are and empowering them to pursue their dreams.
A Coach for women recognizes your strengths. In my experience coaching women, I've seen a lot of women sell themselves short. They'll come into coaching thinking they don't have a lot of skills or strengths, but through coaching they'll discover just how much they have to offer. And a woman who knows her strengths can do just about anything.
A Coach for women never judges your feelings. Women have feelings in a world that values the “masculine” trait of being unemotional. And sometimes you might want to cry, vent, or just get your feelings out. Or maybe there are times where everyone expects you to be sensitive, but you just want to go out there and kick butt!
So when I coach women, I say you can feel whatever you need to feel. Your feelings are a valuable part of who you are, and I respect that.
A Coach for women focuses on empowerment. At the end of the day, the most important thing I can do is empower you to make a change. Whether it be getting in shape, organizing your life, pursuing a dream, or achieving a goal at work, the only way you can do it is if you trust your own power. By helping you clarify your vision, develop your own strategies, and take action, I help you feel more empowered and confident.
A Coach for women understands your schedule. Women are just plain busy. Between work and family expectations, some women never get a moment of “me time.” If that sounds familiar, I get it. When I coach women, I help them carve out time to take care of themselves. I coach you to create a routine on your terms – one that isn't about getting it all done “perfectly” but about honoring what matters most to you.
